Is there a way for me to know the status of my application-FSW 1, filed at CIC-MANILA thru my representative based in Ontario?  I am a bit worried and frustrated because I have not received any communication from them after sending them the additional documents that they requested to continue processing my application. Its been over a month now after the documents were submitted by my lawyer. Is it ok to call the embassy or email them to get updates from them? If so, can you guys provide the numbers to call or email? Will they provide information to me since I am using a representative?
I am a Registered Nurse here in Los Angeles, filed the application at CIC-MANILA.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

There are couple of things you can do..

1.  First ask your representative for soft/hard copies of DD that they prepared on behalf of you payable to CHC Receiver general of canada.. That way, at least you can make sure that you money is used for appropriate purpose.

2. Ask them if that DD has been encashed yet or so far which month's file numbers are receiving that way you will know atleast how far you in immigration yet..

2.  from cic.gc.ca website fill up the the case inquiry form to CIC Manilla and tell them you have filed your case through this rep etc on this date etc..

3.  Get the receipt of each and every payment/fees/letters..

follow up with them closely.. Keep in touch with them..
