My husband (living in USA )was offered a job with the same company he works for   in Canada. They found out they had to do a work permit... said "sorry... we don't do that " and basically told him that once he is in canada they will employ him but they will not do work permits. I have heard some discussion in other posts that there is a way to go to the border and have all the paperwork and apply for a open work permit?Huh True?? I called immigration as I am filing a outland package for my spouse. This is soo frustrating... you try to things the legal way and they slam doors in your face. Any ideas?? He will basically be sitting here in canada waiting to hear back about immigration for PR status.

Any companies that people know sponsor people??? Is there a list somewhere... it is so frustrating to get the job then call them back and say sorry i cant take it if you cant write me a work permit due to policy!
