a rather (burned) tongue in cheek note...
I took a break from browsing the forums for a couple of weeks and come back to it this morning with my full attention, to you know, just check out what's going on as I wait endlessly (so it seems), with everyone else, for news of my visa status.
the warning is don't go and put something on a stove (like a pot of grains rapidly simmering in water) without setting a timer and then wander dreamily through the forums vaguely curious why something smells of ash.
Turn the gas off before you browse!!
Anyway, just my experience :-)

It's probably also not a good idea to browse too much at work. You might get fired. I spend waaaaay more time on this forum during work hours, than I should.

I'm with you Pharoh! I am an addict, I just cant stay away... almost 4 days spent on this site (and I didn't actually sign up for my first 9 months), you are over 6 days! I wonder who has spent the most time logged in? Maybe we should start a recovery group for "Canada Visa Anonymous"... |

OMG, so true! The other day I had put some water to boil, and then I went to the computer room, while later I started to smell smoke, for a minute a thought that it was the dishwasher(it was on!), an eternity later I went down stair to check where the smoke was coming from, when I suddenly noticed that the kettle was emptily burning (!!!!!) Took me couple of hours to clean the entire house, because I hate when it's not smelling nice, i.e smoky.
I have learned my lesson!
