Well my family owns a small home accessory store and loan company in Honduras and I am wanting to travel to Winnipeg to take a business management seminar (3 days) I had a student visa in the us and returned home to Honduras to help with the business. What type of visa should I apply for? I will only need to stay for 1 week to complete the seminar. Also I do not want to layover in the US I want a non stop flight but all I am seeing are flights to Toronto. Will I be able to travel from Toronto to Winnipeg without any trouble?

You would apply for a business visa

Here is a link to what qualifies as a business visitor.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/business-who.asp

Key point for you is the following..

•attending meetings, conferences, conventions or trade fairs

Once you pass immigration in Toronto and receive you stamp of visa acceptance, you should be able to travel within Canada as you need to.

Thank you for your response but I still have a question. How do I obtain an invitation letter if I plan to stay in a hotel? I wonder if the seminar organizers can provide one?
