Hi,
   i m living in canada and i want to sponsor my brother he is in Pakistan and my question is i was taking welfare from Govt from last 8 months due to job problem here and high living expensies , i just quit welfare this month because i got job can someone tell me how long i should wait to apply for my brother or parents ? does ontario welfare effect on my case or if incase this effect on my case then how long i have to wait untill i can sponsor my brother ? i really apriciate  thank you  have a good day

Normally you can not sponsor your brother, at least not in Ontario.  If you sponsor your parents and your brother is under 18, he may come with them as their dependent but you have to have good income to take responsibility for 3 people.  According to table 4 on here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5196E10.asp if you are yourself single, you need to make at least $40,259 per year to sponsor 3 more people.  I do not know how long you need to be off welfare.

Thanks leon , but my main concern is about welfare problem how long it effect on case anyway thank you once again ,

Then, unless you get an answer on the welfare issue from somebody here, call CIC and ask.
