Hello everyone,
First of all I like to thank all the people in this forum for being so helpful and give their support at difficult times. My husband received his Visa already. Can you believe that ? We are so happy.
I thought I should take the time to share the time line. Here is the time line:
1) Application received June 8,2009
2) First stage sponsorship approval letter received July 11,2009 from Canada(they said they are sending to buffalo to process)
3) Whole application package sent back to us from Buffalo office as they need proof of legal status in USA July 17,2009
4) Sent back application to Buffalo with proof July 20,2009
5) AOR July 28,2009 - process start in Buffalo
6) Passport request letter came August 14,2009 (online status changed to decision made) - also they sent all pictures back.
7) Passport received with Visa August 31,2009.
I just have want to add- we sent only 15 pictures of us together as we thought it was useless sending too many and selected only a few from each year. I wanted to mention that as I saw people sending 100+ pictures. But then every case works differently, so do want makes you feel safe.
Now we have to planning to land in Canada sometime next year.

That is awesome! Was this a sponsorship? I'm hoping to do the same thing next May and pray that it's done by September so this is promising. Congrats!

Wow that was fast!
Mine is the following:
-Application received May 26th, 2009
-Sponsorship approved June 24th, 2009
-Started processing in Buffalo July 13th, 2009
-Transferred to NYC July 21st, 2009
I've heard nothing else since then.

I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with how fast Buffalo/NYC got everything done. When I faxed them questions about sending my passport, they even called me 3 days later to answer all my questions.

Below is my timeline...just received police clearance from CA, finally!!! after me harrassing them everyday after 2 weeks of no letter :) I already sent my clearance at the beginning of the application, don't understand why they ask me to redo them...but went ahead and to it anyway.
Is it true that you need to add 2 more months to the regular timeline when they need or request more papers from you? I just read it on another forum.
