I file my immigration from USA under Skilled worker and got file number from buffalo in Oct 2010. My current status as below:

We received your application for permanent residence on December 7, 2009.
 
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 4, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before

contacting us.
 
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Buffalo office. They are pending review.
 
We transferred your application to the Buffalo office on February 10, 2010. The Buffalo office may contact you.

How long it will take to complete the process?

The starting date will be the date Buffalo received your complete documents. Their currently published timeline is upto 17 months from this date.

Now status changed as 'In Process' in my case. Can anyone provide me information how long it will take now onwards?

Dear All,

Here is my case:

They asked me to submit employment documents on Dec 3rd and I have submitted on Jan 10th.

I want to know, where I stand and how long it will take?

Hi All,

They have asked me to submit employment documents in Dec'2010 in 120 days and I have submitted on 10th Jan. Will they only look into the document after 120 days(starting from Dec 3rd) or process the document.

What would be next step?

Any comment would be great help to me.

NO, VO will look out your documents when VO recieved your employement documents, 120days is the time limit for you to submit required documents, if you submit early then your process will move fast, if you submit late then it will delay your PR application.

hey bro.
my case dates are very same to u. they r as following
we have recieved ur application for pr on 28th nov 2009
we have sent u a letter 28jan 2010
ur case was transferred to chc new delhi on 7th feb 2010
my agent send my docs on 28th april 2010
i recieved medical on 11th oct 2010
still waiting visa.....
u cant count time from 28th april 2010 to 11th oct 2010.
rest depends on case to case and visa offices.

Hi All,

I am anxious because, I am in a shaky  situation. I am currently in US on H1B visa. I have validity for a month only, I can not stay beyond this period in USA.

I want to know, what would happen in case I have to leave USA and I can complete rest of process.
