want to cancel canadian citizenship of my child

Hello!!

i got married with a canadian 15 years before got a child of 12 years old.we made canadian citizen of our child. i am having divorce with my husband. I am an indian and after my devorce, i want my child to be indian.

me and my child have never been to canada even a once,onthe other hand my child also doesn't want to be a canadian and birth place of my child is also india.
can i cancel canadian citizenship of my child???
please suggest,it's serious.

Good evening ma'am, you can't revoke your child's citizenship, only he or she can do that when they are 18.

Law says

To be eligible to renounce your Canadian citizenship, you must:

be a Canadian citizen
prove that you are or that you will become a citizen of a country other than Canada if your application to renounce is approved
not live in Canada
be at least 18 years old
not be a threat to Canada's security or part of a pattern of criminal activity and
understand the significance of renouncing your Canadian citizenship.
