Waiver from IELTS Test

Hello dear members,
Has anyone received a waiver or exemption for submitting the IELTS Test score?
Could someone suggest me a method?
Please share your comments.

You don't have to submit IELTS but it's strongly recommended unless you are a native English speaker. If you choose to send other proof of your English proficiency, you are allowed to do that. If they ask you for IELTS anyway, you can refuse to give it and they will then estimate your points based on your documents. However, that can mean that you end up with 0 points for English.
One person I heard about who didn't have to do IELTS had been working as an English teacher for some years. Another person who was asked for IELTS after giving documents had a university degree in English so really, you never know.

Is IELTS still required/suggested/advised/encouraged
even if one has graduated from high school, university and grad school in the US (all private)? If you look at it, I have spent equal time studying in English and my mother tongue. Any takes on this?

And yes, if a prospective employer secures me an LMO would I still need to provide proof of language proficiency other than my school diplomas? Thank you.

If you go to the local British council Library, they may have books on IELTS for a nominal fee for the library membership. I remember a gentleman in this forum who used the membership to study for the IELTS.
I used the Cambridge ESOL series with CD and that was very helpful to practice. Personally, I would trust a book and a CD for a test like this than a series of practice tests or random articles on websites.
