If you follow the instructions for expediting the FBI clearance you can have it back within about a month.

To expedite receipt of your clearances use the FBI cover letter and indicate a due date and "Canadian Immigration" in the section for expediting requests.  Also, BE SURE to write the same information (Date Requested By and "Canadian Immigration") on the OUTSIDE of your mailing envelope.

Mine took 2 weeks, counting with the mail time (from BC to there, and from there to BC). So, I guess it took about a week for them. And I didn't even need it so soon. We mailed the application only a month later. :)

Hey Lia,

did you request for it to come back within a certain amount of time like specified by the other two persons who posted, or it just came back that quicky on its own ?

Yes, I did ask it to come back until the beginning of February. But the "deadline" was a month away. We mailed the fingerprints in the end of december, after 3 days went to Toronto with my husband to meet his parents, spent 7 days in there, and a few days days after we were back to BC, the mail delivered it to us. We thought it would take much longer, especially because of when we mailed it (Holidays).

On the other hand, the other police check, from the state of Missouri, took twice the time they said it would be and arrived a day before mailing the application to CPC-M.
