Does anyone know how long it takes for me to receive my letter from Mississauga??It was sent out on the septembre 18th and I still havent received it?? And my husband has 4 years of Biochemistry in thr University of Lebanon..Does anyone know what kind of upgrading he can do in Canada??

GREAT NEWS!! My application was accepted from Mississauga!! Now just waiting to hear from Damascus!! Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes?? And if they always do an interview?? Thnx

Hi Selena there are a few including rorita that have gone through Damascus.. it is generally a fast office.  If you provided good evidence for your relationship and provided all required information it could take less than the 6 months they state in the Acknowledgement of Receipt letter.  Damascus sends an AOR faster than other offices.  I hope for your sake its a speedy process.

Hi Boncuk, can you or anyone else tell me if it is 6 months from when they send the AOR or from when I sent the application to Mississauga?Huh and once they send the AOr how long does it usually take for them to give my husband his Visa?? We have a 10 month old baby who was born in Canada. Does this help??

it's usually 6 months from the date stated in AOR letter starting from the date they started the process.

Does it always take 6 months?? My husband has done everything, medicals, etc. so theres nothing else for them to ask for??

no, they usually state the maximum period of processing applications, but 70% of cases they finalize in less than a half of that period. in your case it shouldn't be a problem to be amongst the ones who will receive their visa soon Smiley

Anyone having their application being sent to Damascus, or has went through Damascus do you know approx. time it will take??  They sent me AOR and said they started to process in Damascus on October 7th,2009...Please anyone who can help me, my whole family is in Canada and I cant wait to see them..thanx
