average is around 1-3 months.

It timeline varies from one case to the other. One of my friends got his passport back in 3 weeks. However, I have no revert from NDVO from last 5 weeks. Status updated in e-cas to medical have been received for last 5 weeks and DD cleared 5 weeks before.
Many members in this forum have been waiting for even 6 months. Painful wait continues.

They received my MR in October 2011. I actually don't have my passport, but because I had to send it to renew my visitor / worker visa. So far I wasn't requested to send passport for my PR (and they have received my application in May 4th last year).
