No, I didn't mean that. They sent me OWP and AIP letter last week on Monday, and AIP letter asked me to do electronic fingerprints and send results to them ASAP, which I did and they received today.

Ok, makes sense that's good then you are almost there

how long did it take you from decision made to getting your letter in the mail? >.<

It took exactly 4 business days. (Canada post standard delivery time for national mail). The next day after getting AIP letter with fingerprint request & sponsor's letter, got the OWP in the mail too. 16 days after they sent me the letter (today), they have received my fingerprint letter / RCMP check.

Just waiting now! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

How odd. I got approved on August 4th and still have not gotten any letter. I'll have to call the CIC hotline and ask them to send it again. This isnt the first time this has happened. I remember I was supposed to get a letter sometime in April and I had to call and ask about the case! I didnt even know they were waiting for a letter from me! For some reason, postage always gets lost in the mail for me and my sponsor. >.<

Hey all,
My timeline is as followed.
Appl received                  Dec 2008
transf to cic Scarb          June 2009
AIP                               Dec 2010
Since then, no moves and no news from cic. I do not even bother calling the call centre cuz there is nothing they can do to speed up the appl.

wow u and me got almost exactly same timeline and in same situation lets see when they get back to us if we look at the cic website it says for second stage approval it can take upto 9 months but i would be surprised if scarborough really did finalize our files in a month.lets keep each other posted since our timeline is almost same

Tired,

thank you very much for your reply. I'm currently waiting for the FOSS notes to arrive (can't remember the date they were requested). And I have requested information directly from CSIS about the status of the checks, but still waiting for that as well.

TO all,

how do you manage not to go completely nuts? I mean, I can't take any courses at uni, meaning I'm slaving away at some random labour job (M.A. in my rear pocket), can't leave the country (at least don't want to risk anything now).... I feel I'm not free any more. Constantly being unable to pursue personal interest and passion doesn't help our relationship either.

going nuts, having cabin fever,

I know what you mean about the damper on the relationship for sure! Seeing as how I'm always home (my common law partner works from home) we see a whole lot of one another. It's hard to make friends or money when you dont go to work or school =/

If your file gets transfered you will received a letter from CIC telling you so.

The agent told no further documentation will be request,  BUT, e-cas doesn't show any  sign the updates of the requested information been received.

Oh well, let's keep waiting and hopping for a soon happy ending for all of us!!! Wink

I can't sleep. I've been waiting for August 26 (60 days after Scarborough office received police clearence and rcmp). I hope my file will be open tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Tongue
