I wish I had good news, I am in the same boat. Feb 2010 applicant, got the second AoR in December, but nothing since. My representative seems to think it will be August at the earliest before there's any news.

CAIPS says nothing. BF'd was in 4-10-2011   , not sure when I should again apply for CAIPS to see what happened on 4-10-2011.

Me as June 2010 applicant, but still waiting for 2nd AOR..sent Case specific enquiry but no reply..

As for the quota is full for 0213 - it can't be it is one of the most demanded profession worldwide and for support here is the link as a proof.

And 0213 will be back on new NOC list that will be revealed on June 26, wiil be effective from July 1 2011.

Canada's IT industry to face labour shortages

2011-2016, states that there will be a labour shortage of qualified applicants for IT related jobs in Canada within the next few years. The report was released by the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC).

According to the report, over 106,000 IT related positions will become available between 2011 and 2016 in Canada; however there may not be enough people to fill those positions. The report has also indicated that the most shortages will occur for positions which require five or more years of experience.

In order to address the concerns regarding labour shortages, the report is suggesting five recommendations:
Post-secondary students should be encourages to take IT-related courses;
Foreign-education workers should be better integrated into Canada's IT workforce;
Making post-secondary education more cross-disciplinary; and
Making the IT industry more accessible for various skill levels and diverse employees.

Another important suggestion made by the report is to bring more foreign skilled workers to Canada. The IT industry will be looking for skilled workers with many different skills, rather than a specific technical expertise.

The Government of Canada has not indicated how these shortages will affect their immigration strategies. Canadavisa.com will report on any changes to the Canadian immigration programs once they have been announced.

I applied on Feb. 2010 (NOC 0213) and I'm waiting for my passports to be returned. I had an opportunity to take the CIIP and met the ICTC director. He noted that the ICTC sector is demand is getting stronger so there's good opportunities for us there.

I am also 0213 NOC applicant, but still my case has not yet been start to process though In-process takes place of RBVO since Jan'11. I have seen couple of 0213 applicants got MR call last week, they might include this NOC in upcoming revision in July, but its just a speculation.

hi..my ECAS stat changed IN PROCESS on feb 8., and LONDON VO. no progress after that. my agent send an inquiry but reply received is the standard one. my consultant advised if i have anyhting for updation, they are going to send letter again to at least push my application.
i received my 2 AOR on aug 2010. i am confident of my application, but still am so worried that it will take a lot longer just like 2008& 2009 cases.

Hi, did they inquired regarding your profession, salary, duties etc etc with your employer.

All documents submitted to Buffalo NY ( thats was mistake, I should have choosen ND CHC) and got 2nd AOR- July 2009
Buffalo x'fered my file to Seattle Visa Office - April 2010
File moved to In Process state August 2010
.................. since then no update............ waiting for medical or any update
