I wonder if anyone is in a similar situation to me?  I am british and my husband & daughter are Canadian & Canadian/british.  I applied for family class PR in Nov 2010  and my husband was approved as sponsor by the end of that month.  My ecas status said that on 22 Dec my file was transferred to London and they started processing it Feb 26 2011.  Medical results have been recieved. Almost immediately after that, my status said "A decision has been made" on the PR application and the office (London) will inform me.
That was back in early March and it has been nearly 8 weeks and I haven't heard anything.  Is it normal to wait this long after decision made for further correspondance?
My application was a very straightforward one and I am in tiptop health, clean police check etc so we have no reason to believe that the application would be denied.  I wasn't called for interview either, but I have read that quite often in spousal cases that are straight forward, interview is often waived.  Also, I don't think they would deny a family class application so quickly without an interview, so everything points towards an approval.
Has anyone else been waiting a long time for PPR from London?  I would be grateful if anyone could shed any light.

I am in the same situation as you. E-cas has said decision made since some time in February. Hang in there, PPR will be soon hopefully.

Thanks.  Yes I did send a case specific email about 10 days ago but am yet to recieve a response.  Don't hold much hope for getting a speedy reply because the processing time is still within the limits.  Hopefully PPR will arrive soon.....

Have you had a reply yet? I'm thinking of emailing in to see if they tried to contact me by email and it got lost in the interwebs somewhere.

kelKel ....With a case specific email what would we include? ...all we have is my client ID as the sponsor ...the only thing we have received is an email approving me as the sponsor and the ECAS update stating a decision has been made regarding my husband as the applicant.

There's a form on the website.  You fill in the required info and then have a space to write your enquiry.

Ive seen the form, the reason im asking is because with case specific they ask for the applicants ID and that is something we dont have ...Im wondering if that is the reason nobody is hearing back from them ..

Yes, I know, it's confusing really.  If that's the only ID you have then enter it in.  You and the sponsor are linked so with the other info, it should be fine.

I'm actually wondering if writing them a letter, recorded delivery, if that might be better ...a lot more information could be communicated to them at that point and add my husbands email address as well so they could email him ..

I am very confused by this post. I thought that a Decision isn't made until they receive the PP and stamp the visa.

My interpretation of DM before PPR is an indication that they have refused the application, hence DM. I would like to see what the outcome is of your situation.

A friend of mine saw DM on e-CAS for the longest while and her hubby still hasn't received any mails or correspondence from his VO processing his case.

CIC is just full of surprises and it bothers me that they don't stick to the policies outlined in their manuals.

My interview was in September last year and I got approval from the VO that interviewed me. 8 months later to date and I still haven't received any correspondence from my VO. I sit and wait, wait, wait, hoping that each day I will hear something. Last I found out through my MP was there was some admin error with the staff handling my file so it was delayed. Hence, the reason they only sent off for my checks in January. I am still waiting. On the contrary, my medicals expire in September which gives me very little time for them to do PPR and stamp VO before my meds expire.

Gawddd, I wish there was someone high up in authority that oversees all this BS with the government.

My thoughts are this ...if they needed more documentation they would have asked for it ...if they were skeptic about believing it wasn't a genuine relationship they would have asked for an interview ...our case was straight up and up ...we provided 3 yrs worth of documentation including pictures, support letters from family, cards, letters, msn, skype and emails and a 12 pg letter documenting our relationship from start to now ...unless the immigration officer is blind, I can see no problem ...

Your interpretion of DM is wrong.  There is no way of knowing whether it's a positive or negative decision without notice from the VO by way of a refusal letter or PPR.  The OP, you and your friend are waiting for security checks to be completed.  Those are out of CIC's hands and they have no way of speeding them up.  The admin error on your file is very unfortunate and hopefully your checks will come back soon.  However, other than that error, I cannot see how CIC is not following their manuals based on your description.  Did something else happen?
