Visitor Visa - Working in the US

I currently live in a US border town and visit my Canadian boyfriend often. Between the 2 of us crossing the border we are together in either his house or mine all but about 7 or 8 days a month. I have a 6 month Visitor Visa. Is there any law or rules that will keep me from living in Canada with him and continuing to work in the US - I would be crossing to work 5 days a week.

If I have the Visitor Visa can they deny me entry back into Canada on a daily basis? Do I need to maintain proof of residence in the US if I am only a visitor in Canada? If so, what kind, ie: utility bills, phone bill etc. or just a rental agreement? Can I bring my personal belongings to Canada or is there some guideline about the types of things you can bring on a visitor visa?

If I apply for permanent Residency while I'm here on a Visitor Visa and it is not approved before my Visitor Visa expires can I extend my expiry date? Will crossing back and forth nearly every day have an effect on my permanent residency visa approval?

And one last thought: One of my options for residency visa is obviously a Conjugal Visa. IF I have to maintain a residence in the US to show the border guards while crossing on a Visitor Visa - what kind of proof of the relationship can I provide with the residency application? Is it as simple as showing the consistancy that we are crossing the border to be together or do we need to be financially tied, such as bank accounts? Is there a fool proof combination of documents or is it up to the proverbial menstrual cycle of the person reviewing the application? 

It's not my intention to ever live in Canada illegally I plan to continue to work in the US until I have a Visa that gives me the right to work here and I REALLY don't want to do anything to hinder my residency application process, it's just nuts for us to be paying 2 rent payments and living 20 minutes apart.

When border services admits you to Canada, it is under the assumption that you are going for a 'visit.'  If they suspect, based on the frequency of your travels, the things you're carrying across, or anything that you say, that you are living there - they could deny you entry.  So trying to reside in Canada and work in the U.S. is just begging for problems.

If your boyfriend sponsors you from within Canada and you leave during processing of your application, you will probably not be allowed back into Canada until processing is complete.

So you probably have two choices.  Either your boyfriend sponsors you from within Canada and you leave your U.S. job, or your boyfriend sponsors you as a family member residing outside Canada.

BTW you probably would not qualify for the conjugal partner visa.  You would either need to get married, or you would need to live with your boyfriend for 12 consecutive months and qualify as common-law partners.

I thought the conjugal Visa was a shoe in for our situation. Can you expand on why that one won't fly?

The conjugal partner visa is intended for couples who can't get married and can't live together due to circumstances beyond their control.  You have no restrictions on getting married; and with a little creativity, you could manage to live together for the 12 months required for common-law.
