Hi , My sister is working as software engineer at client location in Canada from past 1 year and is single. My sister has work permit and visa that will expire end of August 2011. (Although extension is in progress). She wants to invite me to visit Canada and to see around the places before she comes back in August for a break. I am trying for a single entry visa. I want to visit only for 1 month   that is before august ( before her visa expires).   I am currently working in India and single. I have obtained a leave granting letter from my employer for the vacation and have sufficient funds (arnd 15000CAD). I am staying with my parents in India. I do not have any immovable assets in my name , But i have the proofs for investment I have made in India. I am travelling outside India for the first time.
Can i apply for the visitor visa now ?
what are the other things to be taken care of. Can anybody please provide some information .
Thanks in advance

As you said your sister work permit will expire in August 2011. You should not apply for visitor visa. Apply for tourist visa. 1. take granting letter from your employer. 2.Your personal bank account statement . Look into Canadian High Commission web site for information
