My borther who was on visitor visa in US tried the canada visitor visa but was rejected. Is there a way we can get records from consulate why the visa was rejected. As he checked with an agent in India and he told we can get records/reason for rejection by paying 500$ but I want to confirm if it is true before making any payments.

The refusal letter should have the reason.  He could also have either someone in Canada submit a CAIPS request on his behalf for $5.  Or he could apply through one of the private companies, like CAIPS notes for about $40.

It seems like CAIPS notes is for immigration purposes only...In my case it is a visitor visa refusal , I am not sure how this can be used in my case. Please advise

My brothers visa application was rejected even after we had submited an invitation letter, bank statements, last tax return and the reason was that he did not have enough prove of ties back home.  He had submitted the family plot's title deed but this was not enough.  He just finished high school and was to visit me until the examination results were out then would be headed back to pursue his edu. back in Kenya as it would be cheaper for us to support him from there educationwise.  Anyway, there is no way at his age he could have property, job or rentals etc to prove his attatchment back home.

What is your advise on this and how can we go about trying for a visa a second time?
