How many days does the Canadian consulate in Los Angeles take for granting visitor visa?

If you go personally to apply, it will give you back ur passport on same day.
By mail, It will take at least 3 weeks to get your passport back.

Hi,

When did you get the same-day visa service?
I am planning to travel to Seattle to get this done. Tried to call them and the automated operator Sad mentioned that they no longer offer same day service.

I heard DC can offer same day as well.
Please advise. Need to be in Canada next week
