Visitor visa on Work Permit

Hi All,

I am currently in Canada on a work permit and need to apply for visitor visa for one of my family members.
I checked on CIC's website and the specification provided for the invitation letter is mentioned for PRs and Citizens.

Is it possible to apply for visitor visa for the relatives of work permit holders?
If so, how? Does the same invitation process applies to us too?
