visitor visa mailed to Detroit

Hi,

Can you please let me know how long does Detroit typically take to process visitor visa mail in applications. It has already been 10 days since I mailed it to them. They got it last Thursday but have not sent anything back yet.

It can take anywhere between 2 - 4 weeks (assuming everything is alright).

do they look at travel dates and respond a bit faster.. They are not even responding to emails.

also, since my travel date is coming by - I am getting a little anxious.

How long do they take to look at the app and decide they need some more evidence etc. and how do they get in touch with you.. Email/Phone ??

I am not sure whether they look at the travel dates or not. It is at the sole discretion of the Visa Officer who is looking at your application. They usually call if there is some problem with the application.
