Visitor Visa Extention for my parens

My parents are visiting me in Sep´09 and plan to stay for few months; as it will be granted to them during immigration.

I would like to get their stay extended for Post-Natal care for myself for another 6 months.  Me and my husband are Permanent Residants and been staying in Canada for last 2 years.

Please let me know, if I can get an extension for them for 6 more months?

I would be highly grateful if anyone advice or provide any suggestions in this relation.

1.  Wait until they enter Canada and find out how much time they are given, usually 6 months.  Then 30 days before their status expires, they apply for an extension to Vegreville.  No one knows if the extension will be granted.
