Hi there, thanks for this great page!
I am an International student from the ME who lives in USA now. I have a multiple entries visitor visa (V -1) to Canada, and I have a permission to enter Canada till August 2011. My problem is: I am having some summer classes now here in USA and I can not enjoy Canada or visit it till next fall, in October. My question is: Can I extend my visitor visa while i am still in USA? I have some relatives in Ontario with whom I will stay when i visit Canada, can I mention their address as mine and ask for extension while i am here in USA studying? If yes, what are the procedures? Thank you so much for your prompt answer and advice.

You can't extend the visa. You can apply again though from the US.
