Since there is so many of you who really have good insight in this problematic,I'd like to have your opinion about my case: I plan to apply for the visitor visa;I'm married, have a child , my own apartment and no job at all.I want to visit my friend in Canada and look what are my possibilities there before I decide will I apply for working permit, permanent resident or I'll just go back. Tricky part is that I'll not be able to appear in Canada with much cash.
thank you for advice

Hi there steaky man.... I want to apply for a tourism visa to canada, but i'm not so clear with a particular question on the canadian application form it says..."PREVIOUS COUNTRIES OF RESIDENCE:During the past 5 yrs, have u lived in any other country other than your country of citizenship or your current country of residence for more than six months".......then it shows indicate how long, form when to when?.
In my own case i am claiming to have being and lived in Dubai and Tanzania for less than 3weeks.
please do i need to leave it blank, since i have not lived outside my country for 6months, but i have lived outside my country for less than a month.
However, pls send me private messages on how to foward a reasonable visa application in my country Nigeria. Thanks

Hi there Steaky, Thanks for the response .it was quite explanatory, but the part that i do not understand is where u said i should validate it(travel history) after completing the form.... Do you mean that i should write it like an attached letter of explanation showing that i have lived outside my country for less than a month. Thanks

I want to apply for a tourism visa, and i need to know if it does make any sense to personally search and select free vacation/tour packages and events/activity to attend in Canada or its better to select paid vacation/tour packages ,especially thru the tour experts.
please xplain better, bcos already i have selected the packages my wife and i would be going for, and i have made a an explanatory itinerary of each day to be spent in Canada. Your reply is always appreciated. Thanks

I was referring to the application form. You need to validate (just click the validate button) before printing it out. It will grey the n/a parts automatically.

Have your friend send you a invitation letter first and gather the supporting according to the checklist and submit to the visa office.

Hi there, Please i need very urgent answers to these questions. (1) Do i need Health Insurance to go on a tourism visit to Canada, and would a Visa officer mandatorily request for it as at the time of applying for a visa.
(2)Under "purpose of visit" do u have any idea of what i can say is my purpose of Visit?
(3)There are lots of free events/activities or tour packages in Canada for tourists to visit...Would a Visa officer recognise my application if i chose any of the interesting free tour packages?. pls reply. your response is always appreciated and meaningfull. Thanks
