Hahaha, I know the last time, when I went to Canada (what sparked this thread) I was so nervous, I was shaking! I was the ONLY person in the giant room with all the border officers!!!! The man I spoke with seemed genuinely concerned for me, and that was all. It was lovely. Of course when I went back to the US, the man I spoke with was very rude and kept asking me how I knew my friends in Canada, and treated me with absolutely no respect, as if I were doing something wrong. I was very upset, especially considering I had JUST left my fiancee. But then again, the US border officers were the ones who took him away in the first place. So I'm a lot more nervous than most perhaps, because I've seen the horrors of seperation first-hand, as the border officers were taking him away. Ugh.

I live in IL, so last time I flew from MKE, but this time I'll be taking the bus to NY. I like bussing it better, it seems less stressful at the border. I think I'm going to end up going the 2 week returnable ticket route. I'm sure there won't be a problem, but I guess because my wedding's on the line, it's making me more panicky... again, thank you so much for your help... forgive me for all my worries!

By the way, your timeline looks great!!! That gives me a lot of hope! I can't file until February, until after we have the marriage license (because it takes 3 months or more to get it, apparently) so if yours is about 4 months, I really hope for the same!!! :-D
