Hi friends ,
I have a query regarding visiting back home for a month. I filed my cec in June and at the moment I am unemployed. If I vist back home while I am unemployed , do immigration authorities will give me hard time on re-entering. My work permit is still valid for 16 months. Thanks

You will be able to re-entry to Canada if you have a Visa and a passport, that are still valid at the time of your return. If your visa expired you will have to renew it. Check the cic website for more details.

I see you sent your application for CEC on the 15th of June. Mine reached Sydney on the 18th. Was your payment cleared by now? I am still waiting for my bank draft to be cashed....

Having a valid work permit and visa does not guarantee re-entry - you still have to satisfy the immigration officer at the point of entry. If they find out you are unemployed, there is a risk of being denied re-entry, so keep this in mind as your travel.

Agree with SenoritaBella above: nothing is guaranteed as a temporary resident.

Personally I don't think you would be refused, but to mitigate your risks, I would walk with the following:

- Financial Information (ie bank statements, etc - to prove that you have sufficient funds to leave Canada at the end of your permit expiry)
- Employment Efforts (ie jobs you applied for are applying for - to prove that you are actively seeking employment)

The fact that you're unemployed and going home for a month may raise the eyebrows of the officers, so just be prepared to address their concerns.

I think u should be fine with multiple entry visa. There are 2 options on getting the multiple visa: u have to prove ur employment status by getting letter from ur employer and attach all the necessary documents, or u get letter from a school and attach the necessary documents. u can't get multiple visa without providing the necessary documents and  if u fail to provide any of the above, they will refuse ur multiple entry visa issuance and u will not be able to enter canada again if u leave. ur multiple entry visa will state ur current status in canada and the current status shown in ur visa is what the immigration officer looks at. Hope this helps
