Visiting a girlfriend in Canada

Hello all,
before i start, i already take a look on this forum, and it really shows that is quite hard to get in Canada even...for a visit. I In Europe it's so much easier...but thats not the question.

I would like to visit Canada, to see my girlfriend
and here start the questions:
- what should i do to enter in Canada?

I got some money, some properties (i read before that they ask about how are you financially...i'm notttt rich, but i got some money to survive)...i got someone waiting for me...what more do i need to show?

Do you need a visa to visit Canada or are you from a visa exempt country? You mention Europe. Do you hold an EU passport?

i see there that i dont need a VISA, i'm from portugal
and i didnt yet ask for the passport, because i want to know before what are the requirements
