Hi,

I friend of mine based in Detroit applied for his visit visa today and was rejected. The reason given was "Not sufficient proof of employment LOR Paystubs"

To give you some history, my friend is currently hired by a recruitment firm and has been in the US for the past 5 months on an H1 visa. The firm offers him on contract to other companies on projects and hence as a result does not provide him with paystubs. His taxes are also filed by the company.

His salary is however paid by the company into his bank account, thereby providing a credit into his bank account at regular intervals. Further, he can also get a letter from his employer stating that he is currently working for them at what pay, designation etc.

Can this is be used in lieu of the paystubs?

How can one get around this issue?

He is only coming across to visit us for a month or two.
