Hello everybody, me and my wife we didn't received any news from the VO since july 7 2011, we expect to visit the embassy at Manila(my wife is a filipina) on november 23 and we will ask to have an update because now our normal process delay have been passed(10 months on october 15 2011). If somebody have been to visit the VO for the same situation at any canadian VO in the world, how was your meeting? thanks

normally they will not accept walk ins for an update...is either one of you in Canada??  If so you can order your gcms notes, or call your local MP...they should get involved especially now you are past the timeline...what was the last communication that you got from the vo??

I agree with Stumpedmom. Most embassies don't accept walk ins.

Have you tried emailing CIC for an update?

It's a waste of time to go to the embassy. They won't let  you in and if they do they're not of any help. Try calling your local MP office in Canada to see what they can do for you. Or you can try calling the embassy...but going in probably won't help you in anything.

I called the embassy and the operator said we can go to visit the embassy. Also, she suggest to send an email to the VO and we made it. In the message, i said we will visit the Vo on nov 23 to have an update. We didn't receive any answer from the VO. The last message from the VO was on july 7,2011. They said: a final review of your application will be made.( but now we are 4 months later). Me( the husband and the sponsor) living in canada, i'm a canadian citizen. I will call the telecentre monday. On ECAS internet site, there is no change on our status since july 7,2011. Thanks to all.

IF you have any representative for your case then CHC will not reply to any of your email/ CSE. Now best option for you would be to ask your spouse in Canada to get hold of her local MP. MP can get you up to date info on your application within a week's time. If you don't have any representative then you can also visit CHC to enquire about you application. CHC Philippines is open to general public from Mon-Thur, 08am -10am. But contacting MP is the quickest & most effective method to get update.

BTW you can approach via fax (632) 843-1094 or (632) 843-1096 and CSE https://dmp-portal.cic.gc.ca/cicemail/consent-consentement-eng.aspx

FYI : MP stands for Member of Parliament and you can find your local MP at this link http://www.parl.gc.ca/MembersOfParliament/MainMPsCompleteList.aspx

Best of luck,
