Hi guys,

I checked my status on Tuesday, said medical received & then got an email today saying they need my passport.
So I was wondering if I should go visit Buffalo or send my passport, this is what they say if I go to Buffalo:
Passports may be brought in on Tuesday or Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am and 10:00 am. Bring this email with you when you come. Every effort will be made to have your passports returned the same day.

If they return it same day then I don't mind going there, anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks.

Just ensure that you get there early, like about 7:00 am so you are near the head of the line, and you will get your passport back that afternoon.

Hi,

Before going to Buffalo VO I just wanted to know if anyone knows what this means, I mean does it guarantee I will get the PR

"Dear Applicant:

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.  We are now in a position to request your passports for visa issuance."

The reason I am asking is because I'm on vistors record & it does not permit re-entry.

Anyone have any experience visiting Buffalo VO for this purpose?

so I decided to go to Buffalo today to issue my visa
reached the consulate around 7.15am, but they were not open yet, they opened around 7.35am, stood in line & handed in my passport around 7.50am. 5 people in front of me & 2 of them were for getting their PR visa stamped, so I waited expecting to be after those 2 persons. After around an hour & 15mins got a call to come collect it & I was surprised it was done before the 2 people in front me, & also another person that came in 20mins after me go his PR visa done, I'm guessing it was the category we applied under.
went thru Canadian immigration & was empty, was done in under 10mins.

Overall a positive experience, everything went smoothly.

Congrats!
I'm off to Buffalo on Thursday to do the same.  Thanks for the heads up on getting there early.  I was curious about wait times etc.
