Visit Alberta,!!!HELP!!!

Hello Everybody, I have a concern that I want you guys to tell me what you think, ok . I wanna go visit my Friend who is candian living in Alberta next july. She came twice visit me here in India, but this time it's me I wanna go visit her. My friend is actually a School bus driver, My concern is can she write a solid invitation letter for me as I know she is bus driver and as in that letter she has to mention details on her occupation and my accommodation and living expenses??? And as I am master degree student. is it gonna work for us???
by the way she is gonna join a paramedical course next november.

I collected that checklist for visitor, but I don't understand what they mean by " Details itinerary including proof of air ticket and hotel". Do I need to book the flight ticket before being granted the Visa?, How can book a flight ticket before visa granted Can anybody explain me what that means
