Visa time line CIC-Manila (Already request Passport and RPRF)

Hi All,

        Need your advice regarding our application as spouse sponsorship. We already pay Right of permanent residence fee last september 14 2009 but until now we did not receive our visa. Please advice if this is normal. Please see our time line below.

June 8, 2009: Send our application in Mississauga
July 10, 2009: Decision made and application has been sent in in manila
July 22, 2009: Receive letter from CIC-Manila asking for passport and some additional Info regarding past addresses
Sept. 14, 2009: We already paid Right of permanent residence fee.

Please advise us regarding our application. My wife and I are so worried because there is no update if the is problems on the application.

hello,
usually when they ask for Right of permanent residence fee it is a good sign. do you have any idea when your medicals will expire? if with medicals everything is ok, soon you might receive a passport request.

Thanks for replying. Regarding your question my medical exam conducted i think last week of may 2009. And They already ask for my passport last july 22. An until now it's still in process.

dont worry about this,coz its normal coz me the status of my appl still in process.they started to process my appl since july28,09.so i think.thers no need to wori about.ok.lets get smile and cheer-up.dont give-up.god always be there for us.

hi! I'm waiting for my visa and work permit.. I was asked to have my medical and at the same time pass my passport to the visa office.. do you have any idea how long it would take for me to know the result of my application all in all? thanks!!

We have same problem here. I got an advise to pay for my Right of Permanent Residence Fee which is C$490 last December 22, 2009. We paid it right away then on that same day and send a copy of receipt to CIC- Missisauga.

After this payment how long does it take for me to wait my visa?

Here's my timeline:

December 19, 2008 - My sponsor got approved
January 7, 2009  - Forward to Visa Office - Manila for further processing
Feb. 2009 - Asking for my passport, NBI
March 2009 - Asking for more documents with regards to our application
September 2009 - Asking for more documents again
December 22, 2009 - Letter advising us to pay for the RPRF


How long am I going to wait?

i believed  that they will request you to take another medical exams. becauce they can't give you the visa if your medical is already expired since october 2009. coz medical is valid only for one year. expect that they will ask for another medical.. after medical it will take 1-2 months for results..

Hi! I just wanted to ask how they contacted you to ask for the information. Do they send a letter to the sponsor's mailing address in Canada? Or to the spouse's mailing address in the Philippines? Or is it all by email? I just wanted to know what to wait for. If anyone could please help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!!
