Hi Friends,

I am planning to visit Buffalo CIC office for Visa stamping, and will be completing landing while returning.
My wife and my year old son will be accompanying me, so that we can finish the landing together on our way back.
My question is, when I go to the Consulate office, does my wife and son need to accompany me for visa stamping process.
I think its a pretty crowded place and it will be difficult to carry an year old baby through this processing.
Is it possible that I can take my wife's passport along with me for stamping and she need not have to accompany me inside the consulate?
Do I have to take an authorization letter from her to do so, although I am the principal applicant?

Please advise.

Thanks!

Can I take the PP (self and spouse) personally to the Buffalo office for visa stamping.
Does my spouse need to accompany me to the visa office for stamping or I can get this done myself as I am the principal applicant.
Please respond.

Hi Sweetakash,

I guess you have to take them along with you for Visa stamping. As all you are going to land in CA, as a PR, you cannot carry their Passports just for stamping.

However, please note that, I have carried my wife and kid' PPs for VISA stamping as a Temporary resident. They haven't accompained me when I went to Buffalo for VISA stamping. ( My VISA got expired and WP has been renewed). In order to get my visa stamping based on WP, I visited Buffalo and got the VISA stamping done for all of us.
