Visa resfusal ?

Cud I be refused visa on a condition where my parents are separated. my mother lives and works in UK and comes to India once a year to stay with me. i have applied for a student visa and every expense will be borne by my mother. We have a own house and bank acounts in India. will this help ? I have also provided a affidavit stating that my mother is a single parent and she will bear all my expenses. Pls let me know..Thanks

I don't know.  What would you do about it?  Move your mother?  I think you have to apply and see what happens.  If they refuse you, they will tell you why and you can try to work on that.  Usually people get refused because they are considered not to have strong ties with their homeland and therefore more likely to overstay their visa.

I just want to know if it is difficult to get a student visa for canada? I would like to so a Specialization in English/french at Concordia uni in Montreal but i am soooooooooo worried about getting a refusal as i had apply for a visa to UK (student one aug 2008) and enrolled on a degree in Translation English/French but got a refusal. Im worried that the officer will consider this matter and for that reason will refuse me entry to Canada on a study basis.

On the Canadian Consulate website, it states that for a student visa you need to have at least 10,000Canadian Dollar on your account plus course fees but after reading all the comments on this website i wonder if it is true or not.

I am actually doing an English course in Ireland, im going back home to Mauritius next year April to apply for my visa to Canada for the fall 2009 entry. Do you have any tips? I have also been studying in the UK before in 2003 and got a certificate in French studies.
