My dad went to Canada last July 2010 for my sister's wedding.
Requested for extension for 6 months and was granted. Now he went
back home here in the Philippines this month and would like to come back again soon.
1. When should he apply again for a TRV?
2. Can he go back to canada in 3 months?
3. Should he stay here for a long time before he applies again?

help!??? thanks

Can you extend your stay on a TRV once you are already in Canada? I've been reading the website and it says that if you are in Canada on a TRV, you cannot extend your stay from within Canada. I am a Canadian Citizen but my boyfriend is not and we just found out I am pregnant.. Does anyone know if its possible to apply for a multiple entry TRV within Canada? I don't want to be raising a baby alone for the first few years of its life... We're looking into sponsorship but processing times take almost 2 years, does anyone know about this?

i've known of people who extended their TRV for up to 2 years.
depends on the case i guess... My dad stayed for a year then went home and we'll try to
apply again after 3 months Smiley

The stay/allowed visit can probably be extended but the TRV can't. This has to be applied for again at a visa office or consulate/embassy outside Canada when validity is expired.

you can apply for a trv anytime...
my mom applied for a trv single entry last Oct 2008, and request for an extension, 4 times, which means she stayed in Canada for more that 2 years  Cheesy
she went home last March 2011, and a week after, applied for another TRV multiple entry, this time... and lo  she was approved with multiple visa
there's no harm on trying and there's no truth that if you extend your stay in Canada, chance of getting a TRV would be very slim
to God be the glory!!!
