Dear Friends
I have a very confusing situation here, I have been asked to submit my documents to London office (Old Applicant July 2007), I have prepared everything for me and my wife and the 2 children. My Problem is: 80% my marraiage life will not continue and we might divorce shortly. My question now is that I have 2 options ( I am the main applicant):
1) I have paid a lot for her papers and application already, but I am not interested to continue to pay for the rest of medical, PR...etc as mostly we will divorce, so is there anyway to take her out of my application without delaying my application?
2) or the best option is to calm things down until we finish the whole process to avoid any more delay, then I can leave her to decide by herself her next life steps (in this case I will pay for the rest of the processing from my pocket!)
Note: i AM NOT CLAIMING ANY POINTS DEPENDING ON HER
Please I need your recommendations soon

If you change your status to separated, you may be able to take her out of the file but if she doesn't have the medicals and other stuff, you will never be able to sponsor her. That is, if you go and land in Canada as a PR and she's not on your file and you reconcile, you can not sponsor her. She would have to find a way to immigrate on her own. There is also a question of the kids. Will the kids stay with you or with her? If you are going to be living in different countries, the kids are not going to be seeing one of you very much. It would definitely be nicer for the kids if your wife had PR too and would have the option of living in Canada even though you were divorced.

Thanks for your reply, I understand that the situation for the kids are tough and I am trying to be patient for that since long time now, but I had enough!. I feel sometimes that there is no point to pay the money for her and there will be no life, also she understands that partially, and she thinks that she can delay my all dreams. Really worried and confused

I am totall with Leon.
Now you are upset and confused, wanna save money on her but you should think about your kids and soon to be your ex- wife, used to be one of your best friends anyways... I am divorced myself.
Advice is Be nice to her as much as possible. Not for her but for you and family.
AND Also, smoothe , without changes, process of PR appllcation doeesnt hurt you.
PS/ you might miss her to death after you come here alone. telling ya!

I think you should complete the process, it doesn't matter who pays for what. The main thing is that you have kids and even if you and your wife divorce, don't "divorce" your kids. She may stay in your home country for now, but then may decide that she will bring the kids to Canada, even if you don't live together. If she has the visa, she has the freedom to make that decision for herself. Always do the right thing for your kids, no matter what happens in your marriage.
