Many Thanks eveyone

What exactly do they check on when doing the verification check? Is it just job/employment issues? Do they ever call your previous employers?
Or is it about checking for your crimal history/records, - in which case calling up the police departments of the countries you have lived?

How much longer do you think this will delay my visa issuance. My visa should have been issued three weeks ago.

Thanks

Hi Jassig,

Yeah the visit to london embassy was very easy and straight forward. All they nedded was the file number, Passports, and the family information sheet. No more and no questions.
You just have to be there between 3 -4 pm on thursday.

New Applicants – Be aware before applying
Tip: One should count his/her application in CAP once completeness check is over. (It may be 7-15 days max.).

Completeness Checks  Completeness check covers:
•   Accurate filled forms & fees, submission of documents as per checklist.
•   Points calculation,
•   Job duties & role match with NOC.

Example: - For Example one's application reached 5 September, his application may be processed for completeness in 7 to 15 days, and his application may be counted in 20th  September's announced number of applications received.

(This is based on only observations)

Hi Fellers!

Finally passports have plus visas have been sent. For those of you who do not recall my story line, The VO decided to do the verification check the day they were to return my passports with visas. I got a call asking me (after the my file had been finalised and asked to drop in paasports for visa stamping) not to come in as they wanted to do some verification checks. For a good 3 months i have been waiting. I did not know these checks could be done after passports being requested for visa stamping!!!!!
Anyway, now they are done and visas granted.
All the best to all you who are waiting.
