How long is your ielts score valid. For example a friend of mine got ielts july last year
and due to some reasons could not apply.

he wish to apply next month. In this case, should he re appear?

they have recently announced that IELTS will be valid for 2 years, but not sure this rule is applicable from the date of announcement or it will be applicable for old candidates as well.

applicability two years. Effective since announced. Old applicants may not get benefit

Immigrating to Canada

EFFECTIVE December 23, 2010: If you are submitting a language test with your application, the results are now valid for 2 years from the time you took the test, instead of 1 year. This change applies to Federal skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class and Business Class Immigrants (investors, entrepreneurs and self-employed people).

Effective from Dec 2010, the validity will be 2 yrs.

Now IELTS is valid for two years any two years at the time of application it is clearly mentioned at checklist form so dont be worried about it
