VAC - Guadalajara tracking number

Has anyone submitted an application to the VAC and were able to track it?

It asks for a tracking number and I was wondering if that was the tracking number from DHL. My brother in law submitted the app for a TRV so we don't have the number handy until he gets online later.

If anyone has submitted an app, how long did it take you to find anything out? I don't expect to hear anything just yet, it's only been 5 or 6 working days, but next week hope to hear something!

The VAC in Guadalajara received my temporary resident visa application the 13th april 2012. Today is the 24th april and no news back yet.  That means 7 working days.

I tried to track my application in their web site several times with DHL tracking numbers (go and return numbers) None or them worked.

So... still waiting.

They never answered the phone. It s only an automatic voice message.

I submitted my mother's applicaton in hand to VFS-Bangladesh (VAC). Each time you submit your passport, they give you a tracking no/ receipt no which looked like this DHAK/XXXXX/XXXX. 'DHAK' stands for DHAKA, capital city of Bangladesh. I could track the processing almost immediately.

I don't think you can track DHL parcel through VFS tracking system.
