You need an employer. If you find one who's willing to wait, employer applies for LMO. If LMO comes out positive, you come to Canada with your visa (if granted one) and obtain your WP at POE. Work Permits are issued at ports of entry.

 @  jobseeker - another thing I was confused with this " if you should get a visa, and a employer with positive LMO, you can use the visa you obtained to land in Canada and obtain you work permit upon arrival" . What does it mean? Because what I know is I will get a work permit here in uk before I can go. So u mean I need to apply new one upon arrival with the new employer is that right? Thank you very much in answering my questions..

Hi everyone!!

I need help but for my friend who is in philippines now.

She is waiting for her restoration for a month here in canada but sadly she need to go back to philippines becoz her father died, I just want to ask if she can still go back to canada
and what will happen to her application to the embassy.

She is also wondering coz her passport have no stamp for her out in canada and entry in philippines.
