can anyone please tell me if foreign workers like me are allowed to visit relatives during holiday leave? if not then why? if yes, what requirements do i need? ive been here for just 8 months only and wish of visiting my relatives next year perhaps...
and how long does it take for the renewal of lmo? coz mine is in the process of extending my work permit with the same employer....

It's not personal.  You see it as "visiting relatives," but the the U.S. sees it as a foreigner wanting to enter the U.S.  Thus, it has to screen you to determine if you are likely to try to stay, and if you are a security threat.

There's no harm in applying and seeing what happens.
