What I can tell is that your paper screening hass passed (PSDEC 1) on 11 March 2010, and your application is brought forward for review by IVQ on 9 May 2011. IVQ could be an officer initials or something like Imigration Verfication Queue as they have doubts on your funds, english and employment.

I wonder whether this slowness is casual thing or it is a reflection of how businesses and governmental services in Canada are done, slower and slowness!

I recall a friend of mine who immigrated to Australia ten years back telling me how slow is processing of services from local governments there and how it was so shocking and depressing to him!!!

My relative was not in a position in good financial establishment because he didn't get any job after his residing in CA from 2009
That's why they are assuming that my relative is not capable to support me with financial assistance for my economic solvency.
They also concerned with my IELTS score S-6 L-6.5 R-5.5 and W-5 which is not enough as of their concern to get any job in my NOC related field  for my economical solvency in CA.
In that case i replied them that I have enough fund (CAD $ 50000/=) in my personal account for the last three years(with bank statement) which i got from my parents and i have no need for financial assistance from my relative to achieve my economic solvency in CA
However For the last six months my relative was engaged in an internship to gather Canadian Experience in his related experience field.
But they indicates
NOTE THAT UNCLE HAS SECURED A 6 MONTH INTERNSHIP
THIS DOES NOT, IN THIS OFFICER'S OPINION, CONSTITUTE
FINANCIAL ESTABLISHMENT. MORE CLEARLY. THE PA'S UNCLE IS NOT NOW IN A POSITION
TO SUBSTANTIALLY ASSIST THE PA ECONOMICALLY ESTABLISH. ON THE MERITS OF
HAVING SECURED A 6 MONTH INTERNSHIP.

I also have another IELTS (S-6 L-6.5 W-6 R-5.5) score which I didn't submit yet

We are really their slaves like you have said.  I am in  the same boat like you. since 2009 and my BF'D date was 22.1.2011 and i had my caip notes before that date.  I am planning to order  Caips the 2nd time maybe in April to see what they did  to the application. In my caip notes it was full of mistakes  and so on. Papers that are in my file they said  i did not send Hmmm I pray God to be our helper.

ArLnr sometimes i also think enough is enough but the money invested in it is just too much. That is why i am just praying it works.

Lets wait and see what happens then.

In my opinion since last june when the new ministerial instruction came regarding immigration caps, they started tighten up things which was not indicated for pre-june applicant. Since Jan 11 they are a little bit open about what they r doing. They r looking for any leads, by which they can deny the application.

So if u still hv the will to go through with this tough process then you should not give them any chance to question any thing on u'r file. Here is what you can do.

1. Funds = Gather the Bank transaction statement (As you are Vocational Instructor give Primary emphasis on Salary Account for the last 2/3 years), Collect a salary certificate from your Accounts Dpt, U have the personal account statement of $50000 CAD. Get some sort of Donation Document (I think it's called Heba) from your parents in that time frame when u receive the funds.

2. Uncle = It's purely up to you, be positive in approach. Let the VO understand that you only mention him for points not for financial support. Moreover if you can give a positive impression about the first point (funds) then it will be easier to convince VO in this point.  

3. English = I can agree a little bit with VO, as a Vocational Instructor you need much higher score to get into any decent job. The second IELTS will not do that much good also, As you hv around 1 to 1.5 months left in interview i would suggest get a crash course of IELTS and sit for it again. You might get higher score this time.
    
4. Employment = Collect updated latter of reference from your employer stating your positive qualities and detailed job description for the last 4 years. Collect Pay slips for last few months. You have collected salary certificate and Salary Account statement already. Let the VO understand that you know the need of study further in canada and intend to do so to get a decent job in canada.

This should do the trick. Get ready for you interview as much as you can.

IMHO, The IO is not satisfied with the points stated in the quote above, hence, You are probably going to be summoned for an interview and given a chance to clarify and satisfy the IO about the given points.  A letter will be sent out to you with regards to it sooner or later. You have been placed on an interview list which will be probably held on the 9th of May, 2011 or if it is the American way of dating, the 5th of September, 2011. However, I think it will be in May.

has your relative got anything to do with you?? what i know you get 5 points if you have a relative living in canada. he is not supposed to provide you accomodation / any financial support. am i right guys??

my brother is living in canada and he is currently studying there. he was working before but now he is a full time student. i am claimimg 5 points for that. does it affect my application in any way??

this is confusing . can some body explain if he or she knows?? thanks
