CIC wants my passport for stamping by 31st december
I can get my medicals done in US and send them to New delhi, no problem.
How abt passport
-- is it legal to send
   -- how to send
-- by what time I get my passport back

Please post suggestions , it is extremely urgent.

I am running out of ideas.

Thanks in advance.

- sure you can send, it's legal, but make a notarized copy of your passport just in case
- send it by commercial carrier and include a prepaid self addressed envelope to have them sending it back to you without any delays
- it depends strictly on the visa office how long it takes for them to have it stamped and return back to you
- send it the soonest, and you can receive it before your stay in the US expires

I've read previous posts where it is illegal in India to send your passport through courier. Previous suggestions were to send your passport to somebody you can trust to India. Or would it be possible for you to contact CIC and defer passport stamping till you can be back to India and send it yourself? Just a thought.

NB:

There have been others on a similar situation as you whose problems were sending the passport. Maybe they can share their experiences.
