Hi all,

finally I am asked to do the medical exams for PR. However, I am so worry as my wife has a belly hernia due to her pregnancy and might need a surgery. Does this affect the results of my application? If yes, is it better to postpone the medical exam untill the surgery is gone?

Thanks

Having a hernia surgery is not a medical threat on Canadian Medical system...so your application will not be treated adversely.

Could you do the MEDS before the hernia surgery to avoid complications?

Dont worry Momtaz, hernia is not a threat and be patience. Most of the DMP tell u the Med result before sending to CHC. If something wrong the DMP tell u and help to repeat the test.

Your pregnancy might delay the PR. Some DMP might not allow her to undergo x-ray due to her condition. Sometimes, they suggest it to be done after delivery.

Hi

I just did my X-ray exam yesterday. I am 35 weeks pregnant. There is no harm in doing X-ray as long as doctor or your ob_GYN say yest to It. my belly was covered with abdominal sheet, which blocks x-rays. So go ahead and check with your OB_GYN and do it fast. There is no need to worry.

Thanks

It is not worth risking to have X Rays done when pregnant. NOT advisable. Wait till done with baby and then do X-Rays.

Hi,

I am interested in the outcome of your wife's MR as our child also has umbilical hernia. Our DMP had noted that during exam. What wa the outcome of your exam, have you had you PPR?
