One of my friend who is from London visa office has problems showing proof of funds. He has got a car worth about $4000. Can it be shown as part of proof of funds and if yes what should he provide for the car. Evaluation from property agent or what?

Sorry to say that CAR can not be shown at POF.

no brother.....car and property can not used as proof of funds.............only jewellary, cash,bank balance and fixed deposits..........can be used a proof of funds......car and property value can be used only in business immigration.............

Sorrry, Car can not be count as POF. But you can sell and en-cash money. Deposit those money in your bank-account that accepted as your POF.

Sell the car, only then will the funds be useful in this context.

Property can be used as proof of funds but normally at the discretion of the visa officer as funds are supposed to be liquid and unencumbered.

Jewelry not accepted as POF...but selling jewelry to have liquid funds will aid for POF.

Correct Mitali, any Dimonds, Gold Bars, ornaments not accepted as POF.
you can bring those items with you in canada but VO not accepted as POF.

hmm, I own some GOLD bars & ornaments... Ohhh.. I forget about Platinum  Shocked Cry.. anyone have this costliest metal? Sorry this costliest metal also not accepted as POF (please don't ask that you own stone from "MOON" that STONE also not accepted as POF  Grin).

For property ,you must have to have an appraisal from approved /recognized organization.
