Hi, what sort of help?
Cheers..

OP deleted his/her original message. OP submitted a PR card renewal application without meeting the 730 days required to renew. OP was then asked to bring her/her passport with translations when picking up the card so that CIC can verify that the 730 days have been met. OP knows that if he/she brings his passport they will determine that the 730 days have not been met and was asking if it would be an option not to pick up the card for 180 and then reapply once the 730 days have been met.

I think it would be possible.  After a certain time, I believe the PR card gets sent back to headquarters and probably destroyed and once they apply again, they get another one.  If they are even asked why they didn't pick up the first one, they can say that they never got the letter to pick it up.

I know they destroy the PR card after 180 days but not the file. What if I complete my 730 and re-apply and they compare the two applications? Are they going to process the new application? Or are they going to look at the previous one and find out about the misrepresentation of info?

Why did you delete your original post? Anyways, by how many days were you short of 730 days when you applied??
