Hi all
I hope everybody on this forum is well and happy; I am asking this question on behalf of my friend.
Question is, his wife is the principal applicant and they are pre-June 2010 applicant they live in UK and got their 2nd AOR from London CHC in Jan 2011, since that there is no activity; but his wife needs to go abroad for the period of atleast 10 months to do some research work and it highly likely that she may not be able to travel back to UK during that 9 or 10 Months period, there worry is what's happen if they receive the medical request or interview call during that period.
My friend is staying here only his 4 year daughter and wife ( principal applicant) are going away, in the case of medical request will it be possible for Mother and daughter to go under medical test in different country then UK and for husband to do medical here in UK?
Secondly what's happen if they receive the interview call during that period, will it be possible for them to inform the CHC they are unable to attaind the interview due to mentioned reson and request for different date?
Finally in both cases in the case of Medical request or Interview call can they ask London CHC to extend/change the date and how much chances are about their request to be accepted.
Kindly reply because they are going under tremendous stress at the moment.
Thanks

Yes - they can do the medicals in different countries.

I don't think it's possible to change the date of the interview. If an interview is requested and they cannot attend - then a decision will be made without an interview (probably a refusal since the interview was called for a reason).

I agree with scylla,

In normal circumstances, they are not deferring the date of interview. However, if the need arise, you may write them explaining the situation on receipt of interview letter. If they agree, that's your luck, otherwise you have to appear for the same else be ready for the refusal.

hi
what would one do if they got PPR request in such a situation, can we send a letter to VO explaining the situation, would they consider the case or will our PR be rejected

Yes - they can do the medicals in different countries and also can request to change the date of interview by informing them the solid reason, this was practically happened with one of my friend ,he was on training abroad from his company and able to come only after two months  so  he got an extension of two months
So again... don't worry..good luck
