Dear Forum readers,
I would appreciate if someone from this forum could help one of my friend whose my brother's situation as follow:
my young brother got a scholarship to Cananda for 3 months training, who is now there and do not want to come back home because if he come back my parents are going to get him married with my casin. both my brother and my casin are not happy with this marrige.my brother told me that he will come after the gril got married with someone else.I tried to convince my parents but they are insisting with this marrige as they got engaged during the time they were one years old, and didn't know. In our tridition this is common to engage thier child during thier childhood and then got married when they grew. Now if my brother dosn't come back from Canada after finishing his training cousrse. Is there any way to force him leave Canada and come back home or if the immigration rule let him to live there and grant him immigration visa.
any information and help will be highly appreciated.

It is called deportation, if your brother was admitted for 3 months to attend a course, and doesn't leave after the course, he will be reported for being in Canada without status.  This could lead to his removal from Canada to his home country. There is no program allowing to a person to stay in Canada because he doesn't want to get married.  He has to make a decision, if he is an adult, refuse to marry and live his own life.

Hi

thanks PMM from your good response, but if he apply for immigration visa, what will be happened.

He has to apply to the office that services his country of resident, as he probably was not  admitted to Canada for 1 year he cannot apply to Buffalo.  He can try a refugee claim, but not wanting to marry is not one of the acceptable reasons.
