Hi every one
I was just checking my forms to finalyze them and send it to CHC LONDON tommorrow and find two mistakes in my and my spouse (background declaration ) details of the mistakes are.

1. I put the correct month and year under the (education history question) but in my personal history question I count the one month towards unemployment period where as I had my exams in this month eg. I had my exams in the month of May and in the education history question I count this month as I am in studies. which is correct.
But in the personal history question by mistake I count the month of May in the period of unemployment which is I think incorrect because I had an exam in May and I count it towards the period of my education in the education history question which is correct.

2. we live on one address eg. from the 7th month of  2007 till 4th month of 2009 then move to another property in 4th month of 2009 (these are correct dates). But by Mistake I put on the first address that we live on this address from 7th month of 2007 till 4th month of 2008 and then move to another property in 4th month of 2008 (here the month is correct but I put the wrong years)ON BOTH MY AND MY SPOUSE FORM.

NOW I am very much confused what should I do because we sign the declaration in the end of (BACKGROUD/DECLARION) undertaking all the information provided is correct and complete. I am very much afraid now because my NOC is no more eligible for canadian immigration .
One of my known person who has little bit information of immigration process scared me that they will refuse my application because now a days they are refusing applications on very minor mistakes and my provided information is incorrect and I signed and undertake that all the information provided is correct and complet now I am very much afraid KINDLY seniors and other members those had any experience of this sort of mistake let me know the truth what is most likely going to happen with my application.

have they ever refused any body on these sort of mistakes or they are going to except my clarification that I made these mistakes without any intentions of providing false information and these are genuine mistakes.
Kindly reply me in detail so I can send my documents as soon as posible. THANKS

Hi,

Both are minor mistakes, it did not has any impact on the CIO decision to approve your initial application. Just orrect the forms and write cover letter to your visa office explaining what fields you have modified and why. Do not worry , you are lucky that you found it out before sending full application as Visa officers will look at descripences in dates/activites regarding to your economic form along with your personal history form, issues such as address and employment dates ( as long as it it still count above the minumum time length that you are claiming points) was not assessed at CIO phase.

Good Luck  Smiley

Yes they are minor mistakes, which dont change your eligibility by any way,,

Just make the changes. If you feel like send a cover letter, explaining the changes
(Which is also not needed but its your choice)

Good Luck!

Hi,

Did you sort this issue and was there any trouble? Kindly update the status.

I am an Indian citizen currently living abroad and hence I was not sure of my list of addresses i have lived since 18 yrs. My appln. is approved by CIO and asked me to send docs to my country visa office. Now I realized some changes needs to be done in Back ground declaration with respect to the period of stay.

Though it is not going to determine my eligibility - I am planning to add a covering letter and annexure. Also I came down to India and obtained PCC from 18 yrs onwards - which clearly states the addresses I have lived in and the period, unlike the PCC from Indian Embassies overseas which give them only the NO criminal record cert. with no addresses

Hope it does not create any doubt for discrepancy in the visa office's end?

Does anyone have any personal experience with respect to changes made in Bckgrd Decln Form?

No it wont because you are giving the correct information now and telling them in your cover letter that previous information was incorrect, this information willl be used when they do the background/ security checks. If you dont tell the correct information now and they find out its wrong then it will be treated as "giving incorrect information"
