I have got my letter for the medicals to be done.  It has three IMM 1017 forms: for me, my wife and for my son. Me and my wife will get our medicals done from UK. My son (two and a half years of age) is living with his grandparents in India. This was also mentioned in my application.

I have two questions regarding the medical of my son:

1. Can my son get his medical done from India (where he is currently living)?

2. Also, can the IMM 1017 form issued for my son from London be used for his medical in India?

Kindly reply as soon as possible because I have very limited time for getting the medicals done.

Thanks

In short yes to both questions:
I received IMM1017 for five of us.
My wife, my youngest son and I did medical examination in China, according to accompanied list of DMP (doctors) in our city.
My two elder sons will do examination in Uzbekistan, again, according to the list of DMP in their area.
Just to make clear, two lists (one for China, one for Uzbekistan) of DMP came along with the forms.

Thanks a lot.

In my case I got a letter to "Instructions For arranging Medical Examinations" and in this letter it's mentioned "This

medical must be performend by a doctor appearingon the list available on the CIC website(cic.gc.ca/dmp-

md/medical.aspx)". Now my question is that whether the doctors in different countries will send independently their medical

packets to Canadian embassy. Will the embassy accept two packets from the same applicant's family members?

It doesn't matter from which country you are sending your medicals. Only you have to look for the DMPs listed by the CHC. I did my medicals from Trinidad & Tobago (West Indies) and my familly' s (wife and 2 children) medical was done in India. DMP from West Indies sent my medical report next day to my VO(Port of Spain)and medical report from India took almost a month to reach there. Both were accepted by VO. However, I had written an email to CHC mentioning that I am doing my medical in WI and my family from India, thats it. Don't worry it is quite normal.

No, you must submit all the passports to the office where the application is being processed.

I haven't done it yet, but when the time comes you can ask to send your son's passport to you by express mail (UPS, FedEx or DHL) to submit them all together.
